Mixing Business has been created to provide a networking platform for like-minded business people, in a congenial environment. Meetings are relaxed and friendly – yet serious business happens.

Guests are most welcome to the meetings and can attend up to 2 meetings before applying to join Mixing Business.

High quality networking at informal lunch meetings in prestige venues

Networking is essentially about meeting all sorts of people, and connecting with them and their networks – after all, you never know who is in their network. We believe that the best way to do this is in an informal environment where you can relax and be yourself. Rigid formats, stopwatch timing, strict table plans, bell-ringing, mantra-chanting and other patronising approaches are not, in our view, what serious business networking is about. We also believe that networking should be enjoyable because it leads to generation of more business which, surely, we all enjoy?

Member-owned business network - no management structure to support

There's no ‘management’ overhead that we have to support financially every month, so our focus is on creating great networking events, not getting the money in to kick upstairs...... We believe that this provides members with real networking value.

Shares for all members

Because Mixing Business is about great networking, and not about making money out of organising networking meetings, we decided that all members should be shareholders - and if you want to buy more shares, you can, no problem. This way members get to benefit when Mixing Business does well. And because all members are shareholders you also have a voice on how Mixing Business operates.

Complete flexibility with no mandatory attendance

There's no need to tell us if you can't make it, no need to find a 'substitute' if you're too busy and no-one will slap your wrist if you don't make a referral. In short, we believe that serious business networking is for grown-ups so thats how we treat our members. If you book an event online and subsequently can't make it, let us know and we'll credit you against another event for up to 90 days

A genuine open forum with no sole-exclusivity on disciplines

We don't insist on one member per discipline because, obviously, the real world isn't like that so why create an artificial situation? Realistically you should be free to do business with the people you choose, - not because they just happen to be the sole representative in a networking group.

'Mixing Pleasure' for occasional additional social events

We will also be running some purely social events from time-to-time, mostly in the evenings, and these will come under the Mixing Pleasure banner – Mixing Pleasure is a part of Mixing Business and has it’s own page on the website. Whilst there will be no announcements or tell-us-what-you-do sessions at these events, inevitably there will be lots of networking but in a very much more informal environment. We welcome partners to these events and really want them to be fun - dress code will usually be smart casual.
